Who we are

To be the link between academic research and companies
is the aim of TechTransfer Fribourg, the technology
transfer office of Fribourg University, Adolphe Merkle
Institute and the School of Engineering and Architecture
of Fribourg.

In collaboration with its clients which include researchers
as well as companies, its mission is to increase the added
value of search results by enabling the transfer of skills
and technology as well as developing collaborations with
the industry.

— To have a good knowledge of the academic partners’ skills, as well as their strong points and their technologies.

— To develop a network of potential partners and understand their needs of the industry.

— To set up successful collaborations and create win-win situations.

— To help partners deal with financing issues, intellectual properties (IP), negotiation of agreements and contract drafting while taking into account the interests of each partner.

— To advise researchers on the strategy of intellectual property (IP) protection and possibilities of technology licensing.

— To foster a culture of innovation within academic institutions.

— To support the creation of technological start-ups thanks to tailor-made counselling.
