TechTransfer Fribourg is the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Fribourg University (www.unifr.ch), the Adolphe Merkle Institute (www.am-institute.ch) and the University of Applied Sciences of Fribourg (www.eia-fr.ch).
In collaboration with our clients our mission is to add value to research results by supporting knowledge & technology transfer and the development of collaboration with industry.
Our objectives are:
- To have sound knowledge of the academic partners skills, strengths and technologies
- To set up successful collaboration schemes and create win-win situations with industry partners
- To assist the collaboration partners with finding adapted sponsoring schemes, answering intellectual property (IP) questions, drafting and negotiation of agreements
- To consult with researchers on the IP protection strategy and technology licensing opportunities
- To develop a broad network and to understand the needs of industry
- To foster an innovation culture within the academic institutions
- To support the creation of technology based start-ups
